Women’s Volleyball Comes Up Clutch, Clinches Playoff Spot

The Lancaster Bible women's volleyball team competed in two very important conference games on Saturday against Penn St. Harrisburg and Penn College in Williamsport, Pa. The two games would determine the fate of the Chargers postseason play, and they would come up clutch beating both Harrisburg and Penn College in a 3-1 win and 3-0 win respectively. The Chargers will now compete in the United East Semi-Finals on Friday as the #4 seed matching up with #1 seed SUNY Morrisville. The Chargers finish the 2022 regular season with an 18-11 overall record and 5-3 conference record.

The Chargers would find themselves down early in the most important match of their season thus far as Harrisburg would take the first set 25-21. Just as the Chargers have done in the past, they would respond rattling off three consecutive set wins including a 26-24 third set thriller.
 
The Chargers would see key performances from Grace Farlow who finished with 12 kills and 2 aces. Chloe King added 11 kills and 3 service aces. Morgan Fenstermacher registered 9 kills. Emma Shaeffer totaled 15 assists and 12 digs.

Coming off a post-season securing win for the Chargers, they would come in hot ending the day on what would be six straight set wins including three convincing set wins versus Penn College. The impressive performance from the Chargers would officially clinch postseason play.
 
Farlow again had the game-high 11 kills. Chloe King added an impressive 7 service aces. Faith Helman had 10 assists and sister Leah Helman had 16 digs.
 
Up Next: The Chargers will now head to Morrisville, New York next weekend to compete in the United East Semi-Finals matching up with #1 seed and host SUNY Morrisville on Friday, gametime to be determined.
