The Lancaster Bible women's volleyball team traveled to New York this weekend to compete in their first United East Conference matches for the 2022 season. The Chargers would go on to sweep Penn St. Abington and Wells College to increase their win streak to seven and start 2-0 in conference play. The Chargers are now 11-8 overall.
vs. Penn St. Abington – (21-25; 25-18; 25-20; 25-14)
The Chargers would begin the trip with a first set loss, not something you want to begin with, but would turn around quickly and win the next three sets in a convincing manner, giving them their first United East win.
Morgan Fenstermacher would post a career-high 21 kills in the match to help the Chargers keep the streak alive.
Grace Farlow would add 13 kills and
Chloe King, 8.
Faith Helman would finish with 26 assists and 5 aces while sister
Leah Helman would have 18 digs after a fantastic showing last week.
vs. Wells College – (25-22; 25-18; 21-25; 25-23)
Playing in back-to-back games, the Chargers would continue their hard hitting and tough defense into their match with Wells College. Although they would drop the third set, they would bounce back favorably and win the fourth set to complete the sweep for the day. Fenstermacher would again lead the Chargers in kills with 19, Farlow would be consistent with 13 kills, and
Chloe King would finish with 9.
Leah Helman would post 25 digs and five aces. Fenstermacher would also had a big three blocks while
Faith Helman finished with 24 assists.

Information to Know: Resiliency – the Chargers have given up at least one set in each of their seven consecutive wins, a remarkable statistic when you think about it representing a serious resiliency.
