For eighth consecutive season, the Lancaster Bible College Men's Soccer team has qualified for the United East Conference Playoffs with the hopes that this is finally the year the program wins its first-ever conference championship. The Chargers have appeared in the conference final three times over the past eight years, including last year when they lost to top-seeded Penn St. Harrisburg, 3-1.
Â
In order to win its first conference title, Lancaster Bible will have to avenge last year's loss, as the third-seeded Chargers are set to battle second-seeded Penn St. Harrisburg in Friday's United East Semifinals. The game will be the second semifinal of the evening, as top-seeded St. Mary's (Md.) will host fourth-seeded Penn St. Abington in the night's first semifinal.

Regular Season Contest
October 5, 2022: The regular season contest between the two teams was one for the ages, as Penn St. Harrisburg led 1-0 at halftime, and increased its lead to 3-0 after two goals in less than four minutes midway through the second frame. With 9:47 to play,
Clark Shreiner's goal helped get the Chargers on the board, and in the process engineered one of the biggest comebacks in program history.
Â
Nathan Muckle scored just over four minutes later to trim the deficit to one, and just 1:14 later, Shreiner scored again to knot the game at 3-3, and help the Chargers earn a point. Penn St. Harrisburg held an 11-7 edge in shots, but the Chargers led, 7-6 in shots on goal, with all seven of Lancaster Bible's shots coming in the second half. The game also featured eight yellow cards, six of which were issued to the Nittany Lions.
