Men's Tennis Cruises To Win Over St. Elizabeth

How It Happened
The Lancaster Bible College men's tennis team cruised to a victory over St. Elizabeth University, winning by a score of 9-0 on Friday, April 1. 

Singles
- In the #1 singles match, Micah Weaver earned a convincing win, defeating his opponent in straight sets 6-0, 6-1.
- Malachi Bomgardner played a competitive match dropping the first set 6-3 and coming back with a 6-3 second set win to force a tiebreaker. During the tiebreak, he fought to a 10-8 win to clinch the point for LBC.
- In the #3 spot, Josh Jarvis put up a clean sweep, winning 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets.
- Devyn Kintzer competed in the #4 singles match, mirroring Jarvis' performance with a sweep of his Eagles opponent.
- Andrew Moore got his first action of the spring season, powering to a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
- The #6 singles match saw William Hilliard in his first match of 2022, easily winning by a score of 6-1, 6-0.
 
Doubles
- In the #1 doubles match, Devon Clemmer and Josh Jarvis combined to capture an 8-1 match victory.
- Micah Weaver and Malachi Bomgardner played a clean match, winning by a score of 8-0.
- In the final doubles match, the pair of AJ Kwiatkowski and Devyn Kintzer sailed to an 8-0 win.
 
Coaching Points
"I was excited for will and Andrew today!" said head coach Rod Baughman. "Both hit the ball consistently and served well!" 

Who's Next
The men's tennis team will play their first United East Conference match when they travel to take on St. Mary's College of Maryland on Tuesday, April 5 at 4:00 p.m.
