The Lancaster Bible women's volleyball team entered the win column on Tuesday night as they swept the Wilson College Phoenix in three sets: 25-6; 25-13; 25-16. The win moves the overall record for the Chargers to 1-5 for the season and 0-7 for the Phoenix.

How It Happened: The offensive game came alive tonight for the Chargers featuring 35 kills, 13 aces, and 5 blocks. The Chargers would come out of the gate firing as they jumped to an early 7-1 lead behind kills from
Morgan Fenstermacher,
Chloe King, and
Sheyenne King. More would join the party as freshmen
Riley Dodrer added one and
Grace Farlow fired off three kills to place the lead at a comfortable 18-5 score. Behind several more kills and tough defense, the Chargers would dominate the first set with a 25-6 final score.

The Phoenix would show some life at the beginning of the second set, but they couldn't steal the show from senior captain
Chloe King as she put away a set-high seven kills to the lead the Chargers to a 2-0 advantage. Freshmen
Grace Farlow and
Sophia Ansel would also show up big, adding two kills each.

The third set would be much the same as the Chargers escaped to a 8-2 lead early and never looked back ending with a 26-16 win and 3-0 sweep. The third set would feature kills from a list of the Chargers attack including Farlow, Ansel, King, and Fenstermacher. Not to be overlooked, senior setter
Faith Helman would add a game-high 16 assists and sophomore teammate
Emma Shaeffer would add 10 assists. Along with Farlow's 10 kills, she'd have 10 digs and
Leah Helman would finish with a team-high four aces and seven digs.

A strong win for the Chargers as they look to build momentum going into their last two weeks of the long road trip.

Information to Know: The last contest between Lancaster Bible and Wilson College was in October of 2017 where the Chargers swept the Phoenix 3-0. The win tonight moves the matchup record to 8-0 and helps the Chargers to remain unbeaten.
