The Charger men have started their 2022 journey with an overall record of 4-1-1 including two tough matches, Grove City and Lycoming, that were decided in the last few minutes of the game. More recently, the Chargers have raced out to a demanding 2-0 record in United East Conference play beating Penn College in their home debut 5-0 and beating Penn St. Berks on the road 3-0 on Wednesday night.
Â
Much of the success the Chargers have experienced early in the season has resulted from the balanced gameplay from both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Defensively, the Chargers have been led by their experience in senior goalkeeper
Isaac Barrow and senior defenders
Nathan Muckle and
Tanner Shertzer. As a team, the Chargers have only allowed a total of eight goals including three shutouts. On the offensive end, the Chargers have seen production from a wide variety of players including three goals and one assist from both freshman
Andrew Cox and junior
Sam Glock.
Marcos Nunez,
Kedric Yoder,
Matthew Eufemia, and
Owen Nell have all netted two goals for the season.
