Looking to extend their win streak to four games in front of an energetic crowd on Tuesday night, the Chargers would leave it all out on the court as the battled a tough Elizabethtown Blue Jay team. The Chargers would ultimately fall short, losing 3-0 and ending their three game win streak. The Chargers move to 4-8 overall while the Blue Jays move to 12-2.
How It Happened: The Chargers were competitive from the start, going back and forth until Elizabethtown would start to pull away. Kills by
Morgan Fenstermacher,
Chloe King, and
Sheyenne King would keep the Chargers close during the first set, but Elizabethtown would take the first set 25-15.
Similar to the first set, the Chargers would start strong to begin the second set.
Chloe King had a strong second set with three kills and two service aces which would keep the Chargers close until the Blue Jays would go on their own run and take the set 25-12.
The third set would bring out the Chargers' best against the Blue Jays. LBC started off hot with a 11-6 run. Kills by
Sheyenne King and
Faith Hammond would keep the Chargers alive, but the Blue Jays would end the entertaining third set with their final win 25-23.
