The Lancaster Bible College men's basketball team bounced back from a tough loss at Harrisburg earlier in the week to beat United East foe SUNY Morrisville 92-60 on Friday night. The Chargers move to 8-7 overall and 5-1 in conference while the Mustangs fall to 4-3 in conference play and are also 8-7 overall.

How It Happened: The Chargers started the night off hot with four straight three-point field goals, jumping to a 12-2 lead just two minutes into the first half. The lead grew to as much as 17 points just eight minutes into the half on Shewbridge's third three pointer of the night. Charger big men
Andrew Zentner and
Adam Stoltzfus started to get going offensively, both scoring and on the boards.
Jordan Praylow and
Grant Sareyka also got in on the mix, hitting three-point field goals of their own. The Chargers headed to halftime with a 44-23 lead.
Â
Senior
Ethan Beachy got the Chargers going in the second half hitting another three, just one of the 16 for the game, and pushing the lead to 24 points. The Mustangs looked to gain some momentum and close the lead, but the Chargers remained consistent in their offensive attack, keeping the lead no less than 20 points. Shewbridge and Beachy continued to pour on the points while getting help from
Isaiah Mitchell,
Ty Erisman, and
Matt Ilodigwe. The Charger lead hit the thirty mark off a layup from Zentner at 6:22 and the bench began to check in as the crowd roared for the players and finished with momentum going into tomorrow.
