The Lancaster Bible College Athletic Department was pleased to induct the second class to the Lancaster Bible College Athletics Hall of Honor on Friday, September 29 during Homecoming Weekend. The 2023 class included Whitney (Heise) Whaley ('13), David Green ('15), and Kevin Keltner ('11).
Â
The celebration included a dinner on Friday night for the inductees, their families, and past and present coaches. Each inductee and coach were given the opportunity to speak about the impact that the student-athlete had during their career at Lancaster Bible. Despite the dominance in statistical-categories that each student-athlete had, nothing resounded more than the impact they made on the culture of their respective program and in the lives of those around them. It was the intangibles that each inductee brought which caused them to stand out among the rest.
Â
On Saturday, in front of a homecoming crowd before the men's soccer win versus St. Mary's (Md.), each inductee was given a frame to symbolize their induction (pictured above) while President Tommy Kiedis delivered a closing speech.
Â
It was a great weekend altogether recognizing both the accomplishments and the impact that our inductees and many other former student-athletes had as they returned to campus.
Â
This year's honorees join the inaugural class from last year that included Pete Beers, Monica (Horning) Lambertson ('15), Aubrey (Folger) Bird ('16), Lauren (Heliger) Turner ('13), and Sam Rempel ('01).
