The Lancaster Bible men's basketball team came away with a 95-76 win over the Seahawks of St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday afternoon at the Horst Athletic Center. This win brings the Chargers to a 16-7 record and 13-1 in the conference which extends their win streak to nine games. St. Mary's (Md.) is now 10-13 overall with a 5-9 conference record.
How It Happened: The Chargers and Seahawks put up a tight battle in the first half. Junior guard
Seth Beers was able to get Lancaster Bible rolling with their first two baskets of the game. Just under 5 minutes into the half, junior guard
Grant Sareyka drilled a three to give the Chargers an 11-10 lead. Both teams went back and forth with no team leading by more than four points for the first 12 minutes of play. Sareyka put the Chargers up 31-26 with 8:15 left to play in the first half giving him his 10
th point of the game. With 4:15 left in the half,
Jordan Shewbridge nailed a corner three to get his 10
th point of the game putting Lancaster Bible up 38-31. To end the half with just eight seconds left, senior forward
Ethan Beachy drilled a three, putting the Chargers up 50-36.

The Chargers were able to keep momentum rolling on their side with a
Jordan Shewbridge layup in the first 11 seconds of the half to bring his point total up to 15. Junior forward
Andrew Zentner came off the bench to put up six points in a three-minute span. With 9:54 left, Shewbridge hit a big three to give him 20 on the game and put the Chargers up 70-63. At the 6:41 mark, forward
Adam Stoltzfus made a tough and-one with a dime from fellow big man Zentner. On the very next possession, Stoltzfus showed off his fancy footwork to bring his total up to 19 points and bring Lancaster Bible to an 82-65 lead. To help the Chargers pull away with under five minutes left in the half, Stoltzfus put his shooting skills on display by nailing a three to beat the shot clock. Lancaster Bible was able to maintain a healthy lead to finish the game and ended up with a 95-76 win over St. Mary's.
By the Numbers:Â Lancaster Bible was able to hold the Seahawks to 44.1% shooting from the field and 33.3% from the three-point line behind a great defensive effort.
Adam Stoltzfus had an amazing game putting up career-highs with 30 points and six assists. The Chargers turned things around after halftime leading by as much as 21 and never letting the Seahawks take the lead in the second.
Jordan Shewbridge also made a big contribution to the team behind his 24 points including three 3-pointers. Micah Henry led the Seahawks with 27 points and Daryn Alexander had 24 points.Â

Information to Know:Â The Chargers keep their winning streak alive and extend it to nine in a row. Following this win, Lancaster Bible has now clinched the United East regular season title and will host the United East Championship on February 24
th and 25
th. After his 24-point outing, Shewbridge brings his career total to 2,111, extending his program record.
Adam Stoltzfus moved into 5th place all-time in total rebounds for the Chargers, passing Zach Long for a total of 675 rebounds.
Grant Sareyka put up 15 in today's game bringing him to 968 career points, just 32 shy of the 1,000 mark.Â
