Box Score The Lancaster Bible College women's tennis team competed against the Spartans of York College on Thursday, March 16. The Chargers unfortunately did not have an answer for the Spartans being swept in both singles and doubles matches, 0-9. The Chargers fall to 1-8 overall while the Spartans improve to 5-3 overall.
How It Happened: The Chargers looked to get something going, and despite their best efforts, weren't able to overcome the offensive prowess of the Spartans.
Sierra Hartmann,
Jania Weist, and
Sarah Steckbeck all looked to find a breakthrough in the Spartans scoring one to four points a set but weren't able to get over the hump. In the doubles side of the match the duo of Steckbeck and
Alycia Eglauer had a great match battling tough but eventually falling 6-8.
Information to Know: This was the first match in women's tennis history with the Spartans.
