How It Happened: Both teams looked to get things going early but neither team found any luck in the first couple innings. It wasn't until the bottom of the 3
rd inning that the Chargers bats got hot knocking in nine total runs to take an aggressive 9-0 lead. It began with a Coburn single that sent
Andrew Kidder into home to give their Chargers their first run of the day. Senior

th career hit as a Charger. On back-to-back-to-back singles, Hobdy lined up a shot to send in
Dylan Witkowski. Freshman
Jack Nance walked to send in yet another run, then Kidder hit a bases-clearing triple to give the Chargers three more runs to bump the lead to to 7-0. Coburn and Hobdy both reached on errors, scoring a run each to end the inning 9-0.
Â
Looking for an answer, the Bullets started to chip away, and before you know it take the lead in the 6
th inning off a two-run home run. The Chargers tied the game up in the bottom of the inning as Nance hit a single, sending in
Evan Sareyka, but the Bullets responded, scoring three more runs in the top of the 7
th inning. Sareyka walked, and Nance hit another two-RBI single to tie the game up once again for the Chargers.
Â
Heading into the last two innings of the game, the Bullets hit a double in the 8
th inning to give themselves the edge yet again. The Chargers looked to respond once more and finish the game, but their attempts fell short, and the Chargers lost 14-13.
