Box Score The Lancaster Bible College women's tennis team squared off against the McDaniel Green Terror on Wednesday afternoon, winning their second straight match of the year, 8-1. The Chargers improve to 3-8 overall while the Green Terror fall to 1-5 overall.
How It Happened: The first match of the afternoon turned out to be a close one, with No. 1
Sierra Hartman falling to McDaniel in the third set 11-9. Looking to rally, the Chargers strung together five singles wins as
Sarah Steckbeck started with a 6-0, 6-2 win and
Jania Weist followed with a 6-4, 6-3 win of her own.
Alycia Eglauer,
Camryn Burkholder, and Natalie Hoover all picked up singles wins of their own as well.
On the doubles side of the match, Hartmann and Weist won their match 8-2, then Steckbeck and Eglauer kept pace, winning 8-3. Hoover and Burkholder rounded out the match winning a decisive 8-1 match to give the Chargers their third win of the season.
