The Lancaster Bible College baseball team played another double-header in the sunshine of Myrtle Beach, S.C. against the Lions of Eastern Nazarene on Wednesday, March 8
th. The Chargers lost 2-0 in the first game and 4-0Â in the second game. The two losses drop the Chargers to 2-5 overall, while the Lions improved to 6-3 this season.

Game One: Chargers Drop a Defensive Battle to the Lions

The Chargers and Lions would go scoreless for the first five innings before the Lions found the scoreboard, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth off a single and double. The Chargers looked to get things rolling in the top of the sixth beginning with a single from
Harrison Madagan, but the Chargers were unable to capitalize and both teams would go scoreless, ending in an 0-2 loss for the Chargers.

Game Two: Chargers Fall in the Top of the Seventh

Continuing on from the theme of the first game, neither team would be able to get the bats going as both teams went scoreless for the first six innings. It wasn't until crunch time in the top of the seventh that the Lions found a few gaps in the Chargers' defense to score four. Looking for a last-chance effort, the Chargers came up short and lost the second game to the Lions 0-4.

By the Numbers
- Naylor and Greenly both had hits for the Chargers, Witkowski was walked.
- Greenly was on the mound for the Chargers, allowing eight hits and striking out three while only walking one.
