The Lancaster Bible College men's volleyball team traveled to Chambersburg, Pa. to compete in a conference contest against the Wilson Phoenix on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers won in three consecutive sets 25-18, 25-19, and 25-12. Following the win, the Chargers move to 18-9 overall and 5-0 in the CSAC while the Phoenix are 8-12 overall and 3-1 in conference.

How It Happened: The Chargers and Phoenix started out Saturday afternoon trading points, but the Chargers found some ground after the 15
th point, going on a 10-6 run to close out the first set. Senior

Dawson Forney helped complete the run to give the Chargers a 1-0 match lead.

Coming into set number two, the Chargers started out on a 10-4 run backed by freshman
Jake Rotelle and senior
Hunter Davis. Sensing the game slipping away, the Phoenix were able to put a few points on the board, coming within two points of the Chargers. But the Chargers offensive power prevailed, and the Chargers went on to a 25-19 second set win as Davis slammed home the 25
th point.

The third set was much of the same for the Chargers. FreshmenÂ
Craig Patrick and
Ben Latham got in on the mix, putting down two kills to make it a 12-8 ballgame.
Christian Herr had back-to-back kills to make it 14-8. Sophomore
DJ Omogrosso put down two kills as well, including the final point to give the Chargers the sweep and another CSAC conference win.

By the Numbers: The Chargers racked up 36 kills, six aces, and six blocks… the Phoenix had 16 kills, four aces, and four blocks… the Chargers dished out 28 assists and had 27 digs…
Hunter Davis recorded a team-high eight kills to go with one ace and two blocks…
Elijah Herb had four kills and three aces…
Michael Myers had a team-high three blocks…
Christian Herr had 24 assists to go with six kills…
Tanner Shertzer had a game-high nine digs.

Information to Know: The Chargers are now 2-0 all-time versus Wilson, with the last win coming in 2022… this is now the sixth time in the past seven years that the Chargers have had 16 or more wins.
