The Lancaster Bible College baseball team squared off against the Penn College Wildcats in the final game of their three-game series in Williamsport, Pa on Saturday, losing 3-12. The loss moves the Chargers to 12-22 overall and 9-9 in conference, while the Wildcats improve to 18-15 overall and 13-4 in conference.

How It Happened: The Wildcats began the game with a 5-0 lead after a strong 1
st inning. The Chargers were able to get one run in the 3
rd inning as junior
Brian Coburn singled to left field, bringing in senior
Kaden Hunt. Freshman
Dylan Witkowski followed it up with a single of his own in the top of the 4
th inning, scoring
Evan Sareyka and
Adam Naylor. The two Charger singles brought the score within two runs after four innings of play, 5-3. The Wildcats however, proceeded to score seven more unanswered runs to win the third game 12-3.

By the Numbers: The Chargers had nine hits for three runs and three RBIs… the Wildcats had 16 hits for 12 runs and 11 RBIs… Naylor, Hobdy, and Witkowski had two hits each, with Witkowski grabbing two RBIs… Cameron Dick and Tristan Current had three hits for the Wildcats.

Up Next: The Chargers have their final week of regular season play as they take on Rosemont on Monday, April 24, then face off against Cairn on Wednesday, April 26, finishing off the week with a three-game United East series against Wells College on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29.
