The Lancaster Bible College Field Hockey team traveled to Williamsport, Pa. on Tuesday night for a non-conference bout with the Warriors of Lycoming. Despite a strong defensive effort, the Chargers fell 2-0 to the Warriors. The Chargers move to 2-6 overall while the Warriors improve to 4-4 on the year.

How It Happened: The Chargers and Warriors started out in a defensive battle with the Warriors registering five total shots in the first period. Reigning United East Defensive Player of the Week
Amanda Hoover was able to clock in four of her nine saves.
The second period was much different as the Warriors were able to get two goals past Hoover back-to-back. The Chargers continued to remain on the defensive front as the Warriors sent another four shots towards the goal with Hoover saving all four.
The second half was much more balanced, with the Chargers getting two shots on goal to end the third period. Despite the new burst of energy in the Chargers, neither team was successful in putting another point on the board ending the game 2-0 in favor of the Warriors.

By the Numbers: The Chargers were outshot 13-2 on the night… Hoover registered nine total saves including eight in the first half… the Warriors edged out the Chargers 8-4 in penalty corners.

Information to Know: This was just the second time the Chargers have squared off against Lycoming… this is Hoover's third-most saves this season with her first being 13 saves at Immaculata.
