The Lancaster Bible College Women's Cross Country team traveled to Media, PA Friday evening to compete at the Dan Talbott Open hosted by Bryn Mawr College. Six of the seven runners earned new personal best times in the 6K race. Abby Ames was the top finisher for the Chargers, crossing the line in a personal best time of 27:36.4 to take 13th.

As mentioned, Abby Ames was the first Charger to cross the line in a new best of 27:36.4, an improvement over her previous best of 33:20.7. Lydia Goodling added a new best time of 30:40.6, improving her time of 33:27.8 run earlier this season. Next to the finish was Kenzie Baughman. Baughman crossed the line in a time of 32:08.2, improving on her best set last season and crushing her mark from earlier this season. Jurnee Acosta was close behind her, finishing in a time of 32:32.8, just shy of her personal best time of 32:14.2. Rosa Johnson and Hannah Scott both improved their marks set earlier this season on Friday evening. Johnson crossed the line in a time of 34:10.4, nearly four minutes faster than her previous best, while Scott finished in a time of 36:19.2, knocking six minutes off her previous best.

The Chargers will race again on Saturday, October 11th, when they travel to Carlisle, PA for the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational.
