The Lancaster Bible College Field Hockey team traveled to United East Conference foe Keystone on Friday night losing 10-0. The Chargers drop to 2-11 overall and 0-2 in conference while the Giants improve to 5-6 overall and 1-1 in conference.
How It Happened: The Chargers fought for possession early to start the game but the eighth minute was when the doors opened for the home team. The Giants scored three goals in the first period all just three minutes apart. Carrying their momentum in the second period, the Giants added three more goals to their lead to make it a 6-0 halftime. The Chargers earned a scoring opportunity just before the end of the half but it fell short.
Three more goals in the third period pushed the deficit to 9-0 for the Chargers and another goal in the fourth period led to a 10-0 final.
By the Numbers: The Chargers were outshot 22-1 and lost in penalty corners 8-2… the Chargers tallied four saves for the night… Jordan Vandermark had three goals for the Giants.
