The Lancaster Bible College Men's Basketball team won their third straight win on Wednesday night after beating United East Conference opponent Penn St. Brandywine 82-53. The Chargers were paced by
Camden Hurst who finished with 26 points and six assists and
Grant Sareyka who finished with 16 points. The Chargers are now 4-3 overall and 2-0 in conference while the Lions drop to 2-7 overall and 0-2 in the United East.
How It Happened: Camden Hurst got things started for the Chargers hitting his first of five three pointers on the night to give them a 3-0 lead. Another three-pointer from
Reaves Hooks at 13:41 pushed the lead to double digits for the first time, 14-4. Two good free throws from
Isaac Smalls brought the Chargers lead to 15-points as the Chargers continued to hold that cushion until halftime, 40-27.
The Chargers kept pace in the second half, turning the Lions over and converting in transition growing the lead to 55-34 after a steal and score from Hurst. The Chargers went on to win 82-53.
By the Numbers: The Chargers shot 53-percent from the field, 36-percent from the three, and 54-percent from the line… the Lions were held to 28-percent from the field, 27-percent from three, and 51-percent from the charity stripe… the Chargers had 21 points off turnovers and 38 points in the paint… Hurst had a game-high 26 points and added six assists… Sareyka had 16 points and
Connor Storr added 15 points and seven rebounds… Jaden Fogg had 13 points for the Lions.
