The Lancaster Bible College Men's Basketball team finished off their final road game of the regular season with a 89-71 win against Penn College. The Chargers improve to a 14-9 record and sit at the second seed in the United East at 8-2. The Wildcats fall to 7-15 overall but have their spot locked in the playoff with a record of 4-6 in the United East.
How It Happened: Both sides traded baskets to start the game, tied at eight four minutes in, but a quick 11 unanswered points for the Chargers gave them an early lead. Lancaster Bible maintained their double-digit lead, and a
Seth Beers three boosted the team to a 31-16 lead halfway through the first.
Grant Sareyka poured in eight points in the following six minutes as the Chargers continued to extend their lead to 43-26. The Wildcats pushed back late in the first half, but Sareyka added four straight just before halftime as Lancaster Bible entered the second half up 52-37.
The Chargers started with no delay in the second half with
Ty Erisman draining a three on their first possession. The Wildcats slowly but surely cut down the deficit to 10 with just 11 minutes remaining. After putting up a few baskets, the Chargers clamped down defensively and took back a 75-60 lead late in the game. As the game went on, Penn College was scoring, but the Chargers answered nearly every basket and went on to win 89-71.

Information to Know: Grant Sareyka currently sits as the program's fifth-highest scorer with 1,563 points and can soon pass Chris Readinger ('94) with 1,575 points. Sareyka also cracked over 500 points in one season for the first time in his Charger career, now holding 509. The Chargers remain perfect against the Wildcats with an all-time record of 21-0.
