The Lancaster Bible College Baseball team wrapped up Spring Break action with an 8-5 victory over the Rivier Raiders. Rivier held an early 4-1 lead but back-to-back three up, three down innings for the Raiders and some timely hitting by the Chargers tipped the scales. The Chargers improve their record to 5-4 overall while the Raiders fall to 2-3 on the season.Â

How It Happened:Â The Raiders jumped to an early 4-1 lead after two innings of play.
Dylan Witkowski struck out two in the third inning with a groundout by the second batter. He followed it up with three flyouts in the fourth. After the Chargers had a quick two outs in the top of the fourth, a
Nick Colarossi single started some action on the bases for the Chargers. After a walk and two singles, the Chargers cut the lead down to one. Some quality base running earned the Raiders one more run in the bottom of the fifth but they were kept scoreless the remainder of the game. In the top of the sixth,
Blake Greenly sent a single to left field that scored Colarossi and
Evan Sareyka. The Chargers picked up two more in the eighth and one in the ninth to defeat the Raiders 8-5.Â

By the Numbers: The Chargers tallied 13 hits for 8 runs and 7 RBIs… the Raiders had 6 hits for 5 runs and 5 RBIs… Greenly had two hits going with three RBIs…
