Box Score 3 The Lancaster Bible College Softball team concluded their spring break trip in Myrtle Beach, S.C. with three games on Thursday against Wilkes, Martin Luther, and Bay Path. The Chargers lost to all three falling to 1-6 on the season.
9-1 Loss vs. Wilkes
The Chargers found themselves in a hole early as Wilkes scored five runs in the first two innings.
Phoebe Clemens was able to score in the fourth, but Wilkes went on to score four more to win in six innings.
Riley Danko finished the game with two hits.
10-2 Loss vs. Martin Luther
A six run third inning from the Knights propelled them past the Chargers. Clemens and
Alyssa Paulson collected two hits each with Paulson bringing in two runs herself. The Chargers stole three bases but the Knights proved too much from the plate.
6-4 Loss vs. Bay Path
A furious Chargers comeback in the fifth inning after being down 5-0 fell short as the Wildcats went on to win 6-4.
Lizzie Weaver,
Noelle Martin, and Paulson each drove in a run while Clemens tallied two stolen bases.
Up Next: The Chargers have their home debut on Thursday, March 14 against fellow United East member Cairn at 3:00 and 5:00 p.m.
