The Lancaster Bible College Baseball team finished up their series against Penn St. Abington and came out empty-handed, losing game one 4-0 and game two 3-2 on a walk-off home run by the Lions. The Chargers drop to 15-8-1 overall and 7-4-1 in United East play. Meanwhile, Abington jumps to an 8-15 record and a 5-3 conference record.

Game 1: 4-0 Loss
How It Happened:Â The first inning started less than ideal for Lancaster Bible as Penn St. Abington hit a two-run home run after holding the Chargers to zero. Fortunately for the Chargers,
Dylan Witkowski picked things up on the mound, allowing no hits and getting two strikeouts in innings two through four. However, Lancaster Bible was still yet to put up a run, and in the fifth and sixth innings, the Lions added one run each inning, extending their lead to four. With only one inning remaining, the Chargers failed to post a run and make the miraculous comeback, losing the first game 4-0.

Game 2: 3-2 Loss
How It Happened:Â In the second game, it was all zeros through the first four innings, and
Blake Greenly stepped up on the mound for the Chargers, posting six strikeouts and allowing only two hits. After Lancaster Bible failed to score again in the fifth inning, Penn St. Abington replied with two runs to break the stalemate. The bats got going for the Chargers in the sixth inning, and
Thade Hauge hit a single that sent
Evan Sareyka home for the first time that day. Pinch running for Hauge,
Josh Hudson came up clutch, getting home on a throwing error to tie it at two. From the bottom of the sixth to the eighth inning, both Greenly and
Brian Coburn held the Lions hitless. However, the Chargers could not post any more runs through the ninth inning, and with two outs, Abington hit a walk-off home run to finish the game 3-2.
