The Lancaster Bible College Baseball team was defeated 13-4 against non-conference Gwynedd Mercy on the road. The Chargers dropped to a record of 15-9-1 and kept a 7-4-1 conference record. Meanwhile, the Griffins improved to 8-15 on the year.

How It Happened:Â The Chargers started strong in the first inning following a trio of players getting walked early,
Malachi Sloane hit a single to get two RBIs and take an early 2-0 lead. After
Nehemiah Brubacher held the Griffins hitless in the first two innings, they responded with two runs in the third inning to tie it up. Lancaster Bible failed to get any runs in innings four and four, and Gwynedd Mercy took advantage extending their lead to 7-2 over the Chargers.

After both sides went scoreless in the sixth inning, the pressure built on Lancaster Bible to mount a comeback. Luckily,
Thade Hauge and
Brian Coburn each hit a runner home to cut the deficit to 4-7. Unfortunately, the Griffins answered quickly with three runs in the bottom of the seventh to go up 10-4. Gwynedd Mercy added three more runs with Lancaster Bible failing to put up anymore, and the Chargers failed to make the comeback, losing 13-4.
