The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced their regional teams with the baseball program earning four student-athletes on the list. Both
Blake Greenly and
Dylan Witkowski were named to the NCCAA Midwest All-Region First Team,
Evan Sareyka was named to the Second Team, and freshman
Bronson Coburn earned Second Team as a pitcher.
Greenly, who was named to the NCCAA All-American Third Team for the 2023 season, had another impressive year, leading the team to their first postseason win in program history. Greenly finished with a .388 batting average, leading the team with 50 hits, 45 runs, 37 runs batted in, and five home runs. He also finished ninth overall in the NCCAA in On-Base Percentage at a .517. Greenly finishes his career amassing 203 total hits, 166 runs, 118 RBIs, and 27 home runs.
Witkowski, a sophomore from Emmaus, Pa., has been a nice 1-2 punch with Greenly, hitting .378 from the plate with 42 hits, 31 runs, 34 runs batted in, and 11 doubles. He also accrued five wins on the mound, striking out a total of 47 batters which is good enough for second on the team.
Joining them is fellow sophomore
Evan Sareyka. Receiving his first postseason recognition, Sareyka finished the year with a .313 batting average playing in all 39 games this season. He added 42 hits to go along with 32 runs batted in and 32 runs scored. Sareyka tallied five home runs and seven doubles to end the season.
Freshman
Bronson Coburn was the lone pitcher to be recognized for the Chargers. Coburn had a solid first year with the Chargers, achieving a 3-1 record with a 3.34 regular season ERAÂ and a team-high three saves. He also struck out 31 batters in just 37 innings pitched.
Drew Flemming of Concordia – Ann Arbor was named the NCCAA Midwest Region Player of the Year.
