The Lancaster Bible College Field Hockey team squared off against the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins on Saturday losing 5-0. The Chargers fall to 1-7 overall while the Marlins improve to 5-1 on the season.
How It Happened: The Chargers were in defensive mode from the start as the Marlins sent attack after attack towards the goal. Chargers goalkeeper
Amanda Hoover tallied seven saves in the first half but to hold the Marlins to a 1-0 lead at halftime.
The Marlins continued to pour on the pressure offensively in the second half scoring two goals in both the third and fourth period while stifling any potential attacks from the Chargers. The Marlins went on to win 5-0.
By the Numbers: The Chargers were outshot 27-0… the Marlins also had nine corners for the game… the Chargers registered 11 saves.
