The Lancaster Bible College Field Hockey team traveled to the Eastern Eagles on Wednesday night losing 9-0. The Chargers fall to 1-8 overall while the Eagles improve to 3-4 overall.
How It Happened: The Eagles started their scoring early bringing in four goals in the first period. Opening the second period with another goal, the Chargers faced a 5-0 deficit just over fifteen minutes into the game.
The Chargers were able to put some offensive pressure on the home team but it wasn't enough as they scored two more goals to end the half leading to an 8-0 deficit at halftime for the Chargers.
Looking for some life in the second half, the Chargers held the Eagles scoreless in the third period but weren't able to get anything going offensively. Adding just one more goal in the fourth period, the Eagles went on to win 9-0.
By the Numbers: The Eagles outshot the Chargers 20-3 and garnered seven total penalty corners… the Chargers had four saves on the game… Karlee Howard had a team high two goals for the Eagles.
Up Next: The Chargers return home to host Southern Virginia this Saturday, September 28 at 5:00 p.m. in celebration of Homecoming.
