The Lancaster Bible College Women's Volleyball team traveled to Media, Pa. for their first road conference match of the season, defeating Penn St. Brandywine in straight sets. The Chargers improve to 8-9 overall and 3-1 in the United East while the Lions drop to 8-7 overall and 2-1 in the United East.

How it Happened:
It was all Chargers from the start in set one as they stormed to a 6-0 lead behind kills by juniors
Lea Sareyka and
Eden Belford. Another early run of five points put LBC up 12-3 as sophomore
Kaitlyn Weitzel landed three straight service aces, then Sareyka added two more in a four-point run for a 16-4 lead. To cap off a dominant set, Lancaster Bible scored eight of the final ten points featuring the first career service aces for freshman
Ashby Brummer and three kills by sophomore
Madison Reap as the Chargers won the set 25-7.

Brandywine got out to the lead in set two at 4-2, but the Chargers quickly took it back at 5-4 with a block by Sareyka and Brummer. The teams went back and forth until a big six-point run from the Chargers with two Reap aces made it a 14-8 lead. The Lions battled back into the set late with five in a row to cut the lead to two, but the Chargers closed with five of the final six points as senior
Madison Timberlake closed out the set 25-19 on a service ace.

Two more aces by Timberlake powered LBC to a 4-1 early lead in set three, but the Lions forced the issue with four in a row to tie it up at 7-7. Another four-point run gave Brandywine the lead at 11-10, but the Chargers had a loud answer with seven straight points including three straight kills by senior
Riley Dodrer to power the Chargers back to a 19-12 lead. LBC held off the charge by the Lions and ended the set 25-20 on a kill from Reap to finish the road sweep in conference play.

Information to Know:
The Chargers remain unbeaten versus the Lions at 7-0 all-time, with three wins against Penn St. Brandywine in the past two seasons with two matchups last year. This was the first match this season that
Madison Timberlake did not reach at least 10 digs, reaching the mark in 16 consecutive matches up until today.
Riley Dodrer moved into 11th all-time in total blocks for the Chargers today with three, now with 132 total blocks.
