The Lancaster Bible College Men's Basketball team is prepped for the 2025-26 season under 7th-year head coach
Jon Mack (105-53), seeing 26 games on their schedule with 13 United East conference games for the season before postseason play begins. The Chargers are coming off an 18-9 season in 2024-25 with an impressive 13-3 United East record, earning the #3-seed and a First Round bye before falling at home in the conference Quarterfinals to Notre Dame (Md.). The Chargers' season officially ended on March 6 in the NCCAA Mideast Regional Semifinal against Alice Lloyd (Ky.), wrapping up their campaign at 18 wins for their fourth consecutive 15-win season. The postseason field has narrowed from 12 teams to 10 teams as the Chargers look to excel in the 14-team field this season and improve on last year's success. Lancaster Bible received five total first-place votes in this year's United East Preseason Poll, stacking up in second place overall. Penn St. Harrisburg nabbed the top spot in the rankings while Notre Dame (Md.), St. Mary's (Md.), and Cairn rounded out the top-five.
The Chargers have a strong pool of returning players for 2025-26 with two All-Conference players and four of their top-five scorers from last season back for this year.
Camden Hurst (Jr.) impressed in his first season with Lancaster Bible last year, averaging 17.2 points per game on a team-best 41.7% three-point percentage en route to a United East Second Team selection. Also leading the Chargers will be
Connor Storr (Jr.), coming off a 13 PPG season and leading the team with 126 total rebounds and 25 total blocks, grabbing about two steals per game as well for an All-Conference Third Team nod. Along with junior talent, the Chargers also have a strong pool of seniors on the team like
Nile Austin,
Reaves Hooks,
Tyshaun Pulley, and
Luke Rumbaugh, all of whom averaged at least five points per game last year and a combined 133 assists.
Lancaster Bible opens their season this Saturday, November 8 at 6:00 p.m. as they host Washington & Jefferson for the first time, then travels to Beaver Falls, Pa. the following weekend to play against both Geneva (Pa.) and Grove City before returning home to host Ramapo on Wednesday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. The Chargers have an exhibition game against Division I La Salle on November 22 in Philadelphia, then their first United East Conference game of the year will be at Penn St. Berks on Saturday, December 6 at 1:00 p.m. The men have some tough non-conference games after that to end 2025 as they are on the road to play last year's national runner-up NYU on December 13, then travel to Lebanon Valley on December 17 and take part in the Franklin & Marshall Tournament to conclude the year. The Chargers kick off 2026 at Moravian on January 3, then have their first United East home game versus Keystone on Saturday, January 10 at 1:00 p.m. Their final home game of the season will be Tuesday, February 10 as they take on Notre Dame (Md.) at 5:00 p.m., then travel to face Penn St. Harrisburg to conclude the regular season on Saturday, February 14 before conference playoff action begins the following week.
