The Lancaster Bible College Baseball team had their first road contest on Tuesday night playing the Penn St. Schuylkill Lions and winning both 3-1, 5-0. The Chargers improve to 3-1 on the season while the Lions fall to 0-2 overall.
Game One, 3-1 Win
The Lions were the first to find the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning, but the Chargers quickly answered as
Cameron Harnish singled to right field to score
Malachi Sloane. The teams kept at a 1-1 standstill through the next six innings until
Evan Sareyka sent a double to centerfield to bring in
Nick Colarossi and take a 2-1 lead. Following the Sareyka hit, an infield error from the Lions scored Sareyka himself as the Chargers went on to secure a 3-1 win.
By the Numbers
- The Chargers had five hits for three runs and three runs batted in.
- The Lions had eight hits for one run and one RBI.
- Dylan Witkowski was the only Charger with multiple hits going 2-4 with a double. Sareyka also added a double. Witkowski also picked up the win on the mound striking out three and only giving up one run. Â

Game Two, 5-0 Win
It was a baserunning play that earned the Chargers first run of the game two in the first inning as the Lions were able to track down Witkowski but not before
Evan Sareyka stole home to put the Chargers on the board. A solo homerun from
Nick Colarossi in the 3
rd inning put the Chargers ahead 2-0. And a monster 7
th inning brought in three more runs to help the Chargers secure their second win of the night.
Noah Robinette picked up his first win allowing five hits, zero runs, and four strikeouts in five innings of play.
By the Numbers
- The Chargers had six hits for five runs and four runs batted in.
- The Lions had five hits on the game.
- Sareyka went a perfect 3-3 with two runs, another double, and one walk.
