The Lancaster Bible College Baseball team rebounded on Friday afternoon with a 22-10 win in seven innings over the visiting Penn College Wildcats behind 14 runs in the third inning. The Chargers are now 4-2 on the season while the Wildcats drop to 0-3 overall.
How It Happened: The Wildcats opened the game with a run just before the Chargers churned out five runs through two innings including a two run homerun from
Dylan Witkowski. The Wildcats added two more runs to bring the Chargers lead to 5-3. It was the bottom of the third inning that created the separation as the Chargers poured in 14 total runs. The offensive outburst featured four homeruns, two grandslams, and a 14 runs batted in.
Evan Sareyka and
Nick Colarossi had the two grand slams.
The Wildcats managed to add three more runs to their score but it wasn't enough as the Chargers matched them with three runs of their own ending the game in seven innings, 22-10.
