Box Score The Lancaster Bible College Baseball team responded to Tuesday's loss with a win over the Central Penn Knights on Wednesday afternoon, 18-11. The Chargers are now 7-7 overall while the Knights sit 4-3.
How It Happened: Shane Stephan hit a sacrifice fly to centerfield to open the game as
Dylan Witkowski came in for the score.
Evan Sareyka followed it up with a solo homerun to make it a 2-0 lead for the Chargers.
In the next inning,
Malachi Sloane hit his own solo homerun to make it 3-0 before the Knights took the lead for the first time 6-3 in the top of the 3
rd inning. Two more Chargers scored in the third inning from a single by Sareyka to bring the deficit to 6-5.
After a five run sixth inning, the Chargers were ahead 10-7 but as they did all afternoon the Knights responded by taking an 11-10 lead in the 8
th inning. Now in crunch time, the Chargers showed up big pouring in eight runs beginning with a homerun from
Nate Rosenzweig to go on and win 18-11.
