The Lancaster Bible College Men's and Women's Tennis teams dropped their non-conference contests versus the Eastern Eagles on Wednesday afternoon. The men lost 5-2 to move to 2-7 overall while the women lost a close one 4-3 to move to 3-5 overall.
Men, 5-2 Loss
In singles play,
Owen Mileham was the lone Charger to get a win finishing in two sets 6-1, 7-5.
Josh Jarvis went three full sets in the number one spot but fell 12-10 in the tiebreaker. The Chargers however were able to get two of the three doubles matches. Jarvis and
Cameron Tripp won the one-spot 6-1 and Mileham and
Cole Scheihing won the two-slot 6-2.
Women, 4-3 Loss
The Chargers grabbed two singles wins in both
Susannah Clawser and
Becky Dimove. Clawser won 6-0, 6-1 and Dimov won 6-4, 4-6, and 10-4. They were also able to get two doubles wins at both the one and two slots.
Sierra Hartmann and
Natalie Hoover picked up a 6-4 win while Clawser and
Jania Weist won 7-5.
