The Lancaster Bible College Baseball team traveled to Mount Aloysius College on Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference game with the Mounties falling 17-4. The Chargers drop to 10-10 overall while the Mounties improve to 12-5 overall.
How It Happened: The Chargers started out on top as Donovan Boles secured a walk to score
Micah Sloane in the 2
nd inning, 1-0. The Mounties got a run of their own in the bottom of the inning to tie it at 1-1 but the Chargers responded with a run in the 4
th and the 5
th to take a 3-1 lead.
A two run homerun from the Mounties in the 5
th inning tied the game once again at 3-3, but a single from
Dylan Witkowski which brought in Boles gave the Chargers another lead, 4-3.
It was the 6
th inning that created the separation for the Mounties as they poured in 14 total runs to take a sizable margin and go on to win, 17-4.
By the Numbers
- The Chargers had eight hits for four runs and two runs batted in.
- The Mounties had 12 hits for 17 runs and 15 runs batted in.
- Micah Sloane went 2-4 with two runs.
