The Lancaster Bible College Baseball team traveled to La Plume, Pa. on Monday afternoon to take on Keystone in United East play, with the Giants receiving national attention throughout the season. The Chargers fell in both games 13-3 and 7-0, falling to 16-15 overall and 6-4 in the conference, while the Giants improve to 20-7 overall and 9-1 in the conference.
Game 1: 3-13 Loss (7 inn.)
How it Happened:
Keystone proved their strength out of the gate as they piled up eight total runs in the second inning, putting the Chargers in a hole early on. The Chargers found the scoreboard in the top of the third inning as both junior
Evan Sareyka and sophomore
Nick Colarossi knocked RBI-singles to cut the lead to 8-2. The Giants took care of that rally by adding another run in the third and then another in the fifth, reaching 10 runs on the game. The sixth inning saw freshman
Everett Bell connect on a single that scored sophomore
Malachi Sloane, making the score 10-3. The Giants finished the game with three runs in the seventh to end it early with a 10-run victory.
By the Numbers:
- The Chargers scored three runs on eight hits with just three RBI, striking out 10 times with four walks and four fielding errors

How it Happened:
The Chargers mustered three hits through the first three innings but just one runner in scoring position, failing to score while Keystone got on the board in the third with five runs to open it up. The Charger defense held strong through the next four innings, allowing just one hit, but no runs came across for LBC in that effort. The Giants added two runs in the eighth inning, then retired the Chargers 1-2-3 in the ninth to seal the series sweep.
By the Numbers:
- The Chargers were held scoreless on eight hits all singles with four walks and a hit-by-pitch
- The Giants had seven runs on 11 hits, six RBI and three walks
- Neither team recorded an extra-base hit in the game
