The Lancaster Bible College Baseball team squared off against the Rosemont Ravens in a United East Conference matchup at Penn Medicine Park on Wednesday night. The Ravens went on to win 14-3 as the Chargers drop to 13-12 overall and 3-2 in conference play. Meanwhile the Ravens improve to 7-16 overall and 2-5 in conference action.
How It Happened: The Chargers were able to score nine runs through the first three innings of play largely in part to several RBI singles. The Ravens were able to tack on two more runs in the top of the 5
th inning to make it 11-0 before the Chargers found their first run in the bottom of the 6
th inning as
Cameron Harnish walked to bring in
Evan Sareyka. The Chargers brought in two more in the 6
th inning to close the gap 11-3 but it wasn't enough as the Ravens kept the bats going extending their lead and winning 14-3.
By the Numbers
- The Chargers had seven hits for three runs and three runs batted in.
- The Ravens grabbed 16 hits for 14 runs and 12 runs batted in.
- Dylan Witkowski went 2-4 with a walk.
- Evan Sareyka pitched six innings giving up five hits but striking out six batters.
