Lancaster Bible College dropped a 12-2 decision at Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday afternoon. Lancaster Bible falls to 6-5 overall with Gwynedd Mercy improving to 7-6 overall.
How It Happened: Lancaster Bible got off to a quick start in the top of the first, taking advantage of an error before Shane Stephan drove in Dylan Witkowski with a sacrifice fly for a 1-0 lead. Gwynedd Mercy responded immediately in the bottom half, capitalizing on walks and a wild pitch to take a 2-1 advantage after one inning.
The Griffins broke the game open in the third inning, scoring four runs on three hits and multiple walks to extend their lead to 6-1. Gwynedd Mercy added another run in the fifth to push the margin to six, while the Chargers struggled to generate consistent offense against the Griffins' pitching staff.
Lancaster Bible picked up its second run in the seventh inning as CJ Peterson delivered an RBI single to score Stephan, but Gwynedd Mercy answered with a three-run frame in the bottom half to put the game out of reach. The Griffins added two more runs in the eighth inning to secure the 12-2 final.
