The Lancaster Bible College Men's and Women's Track & Field teams traveled to Chester, Pa. on Friday and Saturday to compete in the Danny Curran Invitational hosted by Widener University. The Chargers saw four school records fall and three athletes qualify for NCCAA Outdoor Championships during the meet.

The Men's team saw two school records fall on the track, one in short distance and one in long distance.
Gavin Hunter (Fr.) reset the record in the 400-Meters, finishing with a time of 52.66 to break his own record set last week at Lebanon Valley and placing 62nd in the event out of 100 finishers.
David Helms (Jr.) also set a school record in the 10,000-Meters, placing in the top-10 at seventh-place with a time of 31:23.62 and besting his own record from last season by over a minute. David's time also qualified him for NCCAA postseason competition. In the 200-Meters,
Kingsiah Oquendo (Fr.) and
Nate Costume (Fr.) each set personal bests as Oquendo ran the race in 25.91 seconds and Costume in 27.09 seconds. Jay Royal (Jr.) also set a personal record in the 800-Meters with a time of 2:11.43.

The Women's team saw one school record fall and two NCCAA qualifications on the track on Saturday, with
Seana Dougherty (So.) setting a new program mark in the 800-Meters with a time of 2:36.55. For NCCAA qualifications, both
Cadee Cameron (So.) and
Abby Ames (Jr.) qualified in the 5,000-Meters and set personal bests of under 20-minutes, with Cameron earning a time of 19:44.67 and Ames finishing at 19:57.46.
Rosa Johnson (Jr.) also ran in the 5K, earning a personal-best time of 23:42.10 in the event.

The Men's Team had one top-10 finish as
Kyle Durkin (So.) placed fourth overall in the Javelin Throw with a distance of 52.60 Meters, while
Hudson Gosselin (Fr.) placed 11th in the event with a throw of 48.76 Meters. Gosselin also set a personal-best in the Shot Put at 11.68 Meters while
Emery McCombs (So.) placed 34th in Shot Put at 11.95 Meters and
Lucas Durkin (Sr.) in 37th at 11.78 Meters.

The Women's team had one school record set in field events as
Elly Bruner (Jr.) jumped 4.96 Meters for 16th-place in the event, breaking a tie for the school record with Winter Saunders (2021) at 4.94 Meters. Bruner also picked up a top-10 finish on the day as she placed seventh in the High Jump, setting a season-best height of 1.55 Meters.
Martha Weaver (Jr.) threw for a season-best 36.85 Meters in the Hammer Throw and placed 20th in the Shot Put with a throw of 10.49 Meters, with
Vera Innerst (So.) and
McKayla Vetterani (So.) also putting up season-bests in the Shot Put at 9.32 Meters and 8.25 Meters respectively.
