An errant throw by the catcher would allow Rebekah Hoover to add the second run of the game. Atkins added two more strikeouts to her total in the top of the second keeping the Patriots hitless. The Chargers would add two more runs as a couple of walks followed by an error would score Ila Rowatti; a double steal by Ava Stern and Grace Goodman would score the second run. Atkins continued her dominance in the top of the third with three more strikeouts. Five runs in the bottom of the third along with a scoreless top of the fourth would extend the Chargers lead to 9-0. The bats continued to stay hot for the Chargers as an Ila Rowatti double would score two. Grace Goodman would add a RBI single of her own, along with Kendall Jackman who doubled and scored Goodman. Amelia Huey would single scoring one and Rebekah Hoover would triple scoring Huey bringing the inning total to seven runs. Atkins would add one more strikeout to her performance as the Chargers took game one 16-0 in five innings.
