Baseball to Host Second Round Playoff Series

The United East Conference Postseason has arrived as the Lancaster Bible College Baseball team clinched the #4 seed in the tournament and home-field advantage in the Second Round of the playoffs. The Chargers will begin their postseason on Friday, May 1 as they take on #5-seed St. Mary's (Md.) in a best-of-3 series beginning at 12:00 p.m., with game two scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday and a deciding game three (if necessary) on Saturday, May 2 at 12:00 p.m.
 
Season Recap
The Chargers finished the regular season with a record of 17-6 and went 11-5 in United East play, clinching their sixth straight postseason appearance and winning 10+ conference games for the first time since 2023. Lancaster Bible's best wins of the season came on the road against (RV) Ursinus 17-12 on March 24 and at home on April 15 over Notre Dame (Md.) 19-13 as they won their first game on the new expanded field on campus. The Chargers also went 7-1 on the road in conference play and hit .331 as a team for batting average for the top spot in the conference. The Chargers have been led by Donavan Boles (So.) with a team-high .472 average on 42 hits, knocking 17 total extra-base hits with 12 doubles and five home runs for a team-high .775 slugging percentage and 1.295 OPS. Boles currently leads the entire United East in batting average and ranks second in OPS, also ranking third among qualified hitters in the NCCAA in batting average this season. Also leading the Chargers is Dylan Witkowski (Sr.), leading LBC with 21 total extra-base hits 42 total RBI with a team-best .546 on-base percentage. Witkowski now holds the program record for career hits with 213, ranking top-20 in the NCCAA in batting average (.412), RBI (42), on-base percentage (.546), and runs scored (52). Other key contributors for the Chargers this season include Evan Sareyka (Sr.) with a .356 average, 37 RBI, and a team-high 25 stolen bases, Shane Stephan (Jr.) with 44 hits on .344 from the plate with 32 RBI, and the starting duo of Noah Robinette (Jr.) and Trevor Bertsch (Fr.) with four wins each on the mound in over 40.0 innings pitched.
 
Previous Matchup
The Chargers and Seahawks did not meet in the regular season in 2026, making this the first time Lancaster Bible takes on St. Mary's (Md.) this season.
