The Lancaster Bible College Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field wrapped up competition at the United East Outdoor Championships hosted by Keystone College on Sunday, medaling in 14 total events across Men's and Women's action. The Men's team finished third out of eight teams that scored with 164 points while the Women's team also finished third out of nine teams that scored with 152 points.

The Men's team saw
David Helms (Jr.) lead the way for the Chargers on the track as he took home a trio of medals, including one of each as he earned United East Track Athlete of the Year for the meet. Helms took Gold in the 1,500-Meters with a time of 4:14.90 for back-to-back 1,500 titles, then added a Silver-medal finish in the 5,000-Meters at 15:57.10 and a Bronze medal in the 800-Meters with a personal-best time of 2:04.96 to round out his day. The Chargers added one more track medal as they placed third in the 4x100M Relay, with the team of
Micah Richardson (Sr.),
Karahn Garfield-Cotton (Sr.),
Amari Williams (So.), and
Gavin Hunter (Fr.) earning Bronze in the race. Hunter himself set a school record in the 400-Meters as he placed sixth with a time of 52.49 and finished seventh in the 200-Meter finals at 23.24, improving one spot from the preliminary round. In other track action,
Jaden Royal (Jr.) set a PR in the 800-Meters at 2:07.65 for a seventh-place finish and
John Spackman (Fr.) also ran a personal best in the 5,000-Meters with a time of 18:06.45, also placing seventh.

The Women's team received medals in four different events, led by
Abby Ames (Jr.) who took home two medals and one individual title. Ames won Gold in the 1,500-Meters, winning by six seconds at 5:13.81 for her first individual gold in Outdoor competition. Abby also placed third in the 5,000-Meters with a time of 19:55.16, earning Bronze in the event.
Cadee Cameron (So.) joined Ames on the podium in the 1,500-Meters, earning Bronze with a personal-best time of 5:20.54 while finishing in fourth in the 5,000-Meters as well at 20:24.47. The Women's team placed in both relays for the day, starting in the 4x100M Relay where they placed second as the team of
Faith Garber (Jr.),
Zoi Whitsett (Jr.),
Elly Bruner (Jr.), and
Lizzie Dimov (So.) took Silver in the race. In the 4x400M Relay, the Chargers placed third to end the day as the team of Garber,
Seana Dougherty (So.), Dimov, and
Rachel Nolt earned Bronze. In other track action, Garber placed fifth in the 100M Hurdles with a personal-best time of 19.74 and
Mycah Wilkinson (Fr.) set a PR in the 5,000-Meters at 24:49.49 and placed 10th. In the 100-Meter finals, Dimov placed fifth at 13.47 while Garber placed seventh at 14.10.

The highlights for the Men's team in the field events include a 1-2 finish in the Shot Put and a pair of medalists in the High Jump. In the Shot Put,
Lucas Durkin (Sr.) claimed Gold in the event, throwing for a program record of 13.01 Meters for his first career United East medal and individual title.
Emery McCombs (So.) followed close behind him as he collected Silver in the Shot Put, earning second place by less than an inch over third place for his second career medal in the event. In the High Jump,
Chase Gerber (Jr.) and
Landon Zeiset (Fr.) each earned the Bronze medal after tying for third place at 1.80 Meters, with Gerber earning his second career medal in the High Jump and Zeiset collected his second of the weekend after taking Silver in the Long Jump yesterday. McCombs also finished sixth in the Discus Throw after a season-best of 36.57 Meters, while
Hudson Gosselin (Fr.) set a PR in the event at 34.82 Meters for ninth overall and added an eighth-place finish in the Shot Put at 12.23 Meters. Finally, Zeiset placed fourth in the Triple Jump at 13.01 Meters for a personal best, with
Aidan Miller (So.) placing sixth at 12.69 Meters and
Benjamin Cornish (Sr.) setting a PR at 12.18 Meters.

The Women's team had two medalists on day two in the field, one in jumps and one in throws.
Elly Bruner set a new program record in the Triple Jump as she placed third with a jump of 10.42 Meters, taking Bronze as the first Charger in program history to jump over 10 meters in the event.
Martha Weaver (Jr.) clinched back-to-back Silver medals in the Shot Put, throwing for 11.24 Meters. Also competing in the Shot Put were
Vera Innerst (So.) and
McKayla Vetterani (So.), with Innerst placing ninth at 9.74 Meters and Vetterani setting a personal record at 9.09 Meters and placing 13th.
