The United East Conference released their weekly award winners for this past week for the team sports on Monday afternoon, with Lancaster Bible receiving their first weekly honor of the 2026-27 athletic year as Lea Sareyka (Sr.) was named Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week. This is Sareyka's second career Player of the Week honor with her first award coming back on September 22, 2025.
 
Lea helped lead the Chargers to an emphatic 3-0 record this past week as the Chargers defeated a strong Gettysburg squad in five sets at home on Wednesday and swept their home tri-match on Saturday with a United East-opening win over Penn College and a win over Keuka to cap the day. Sareyka led the Chargers' offensive attack for the week, totaling 29 kills and nine service aces across three matches for 2.64 kills per set and 0.82 aces per set. Lea set a season-high with 15 kills on Wednesday against the Bullets and added 10 kills against Keuka on Saturday, with four kills against the Wildcats in their United East victory. She currently ranks 12th in the United East in kills per set for the year (2.45) and 8th in the conference in services aces per set (0.58), and her 801 career kills are good for fifth-most in LBC program history and 151 career service aces are 10th-most for the Chargers all-time.
 
Sareyka and the rest of the LBC Women's Volleyball team have a packed week ahead with four total games with two United East matches, starting Wednesday, September 30 as they travel south to take on St. Mary's (Md.) at 7:00 p.m. The Chargers have a quick turnaround as they travel to face Eastern on Thursday, October 1 at 7:00 p.m., then wrap up the week at home for another tri-match on Saturday, October 3 as they host Notre Dame (Md.) in United East play and face Arcadia in non-conference action at 3:00 p.m.
