Playing a home match for the first time in three weeks, the Lancaster Bible College women's volleyball team came charging out of the gate, but couldn't maintain the momentum and fell to Mount Aloysius 3-1 Tuesday night at Horst Athletic Center.
The Chargers (4-9) lost 23-25, 25-14, 25-16, 25-21.
"We fought hard," Charger Head Coach Lauren Mable said. "Unfortunately we wavered a bit and couldn't finish."
Freshman
Lauren Heliger led the Chargers with 19 digs and six kills. Freshman
Jenae Almas added 10 digs and six kills. Senior
Alishia Landis led the team in assists with 10.
Helping the Chargers along the way was the student section, who for the second straight match, fed LBC energy when they needed it.
"We had great fans tonight," Mable said.
The Chargers are back in action on Thursday when they travel to play Hood at 7:00 p.m. LBC will host Baptist Bible on Saturday morning as part of Homecoming. LBC will take on the Defenders at 11:30 a.m.
