The Lancaster Bible College men's tennis team's struggles continued on Thursday as they fell to Eastern, 9-0 in St. David's, Pa.
Despite losing, 6-4, 6-3,
Josh Formanek played his best match of the season. Both sets went back and forth before his opponent, Chris Clark pulled away at the end.
"Josh played very well today," Chargers' Head Coach
Zach Freeman said. "His serving was consistent and he hit a lot of his shots deep which threw off his opponent. He also capitalized on many of Clark's mistakes."
Formanek and his doubles partner,
Dan McAllister also played a very strong match, losing, 8-5 at number three doubles.
"Josh and Dan have been our best doubles team since we put them together," Freeman said. "They know how to earn a few games in the beginning of the match, they just need to put it all together at the end of a match and get those last few games."
LBC (0-6) is back in action on Sunday when they host King's College at 1:00 p.m. The match will be held at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa.
