Charger Athletics Shares Update on Men's and Women's Tennis Programs

The Lancaster Bible College Athletic Department announced today that it is discontinuing its NCAA Division III men's and women's tennis programs, effectively immediately.

The decision follows a comprehensive evaluation of the College's athletics model, institutional priorities, and the long-term sustainability of its sport offerings.

"We recognize the significance of this decision and the impact it has on our student-athletes, alumni, families, and supporters," said Bryan Curtis, Director of Athletics. "This was not a decision we arrived at quickly or easily. After careful consideration, we believe this change is necessary to position Charger Athletics for long-term success while remaining faithful stewards of the resources entrusted to us."

Lancaster Bible College will work closely with current student-athletes throughout the transition process and provide support as they evaluate their future academic and athletic opportunities.

"We are deeply grateful for the impact our tennis student-athletes have made on this institution," Curtis added. "They have represented Lancaster Bible College with excellence, integrity, and a commitment to Christ. Their legacy will remain an important part of the history of Charger Athletics."
