The Lancaster Bible College men's tennis team played its final road match of the season on Wednesday, losing to King's College, 8-1.
Jeremy Davis had the lone Chargers' win, beating Lee Arner, 7-6 (12-10), 6-3.
"Jeremy played well in doubles and singles today," Chargers' Head Coach
Zach Freeman said. "He was consistent and didn't let the wind effect his shots."
Dan McAllister also played well for LBC (0-8), losing in three sets during his singles' match and losing in a tie-breaker with Davis during their doubles' match. McAllister lost his singles' match, 7-6 (8-6), 2-6, 10-6.
"Dan had an up-and-down day for sure," Freeman said. "He and Jeremy were down 6-1 in doubles and fought back only to lose and he was down a set in singles, fought back again and lost. He played tough all day and really left everything on the court."
Brandon Klinger and
Taylor Lantz also played well for LBC. Klinger lost 6-3, 7-5 in his singles' match, while Lantz fell, 7-5, 6-0.
"Both Klinger and Lantz were just a few shots away from turning their matches around," Freeman said. "They played hard and just need to be a bit more consistent."
