Men's Tennis Weekend Wrap-Up

The Lancaster Bible wrapped up the North Eastern Athletic Conference portion of their schedule on Friday and Saturday as they faced NEAC powerhouses, Penn St. Abington and Rutgers-Camden. The Chargers lost to both squads, 8-1, but gained valuable experience for next weekend's NEAC Tournament when they will face many of the same opponents.

Penn St. Abington 8, Lancaster Bible 1
The number one doubles team of Alex Derus and Grant Noel earned LBC's only point as they won, 8-5. Jeremy Davis suffered just his second loss of the spring season at number four singles as he lost, 8-5 to Ross Raddi. Grant Noel lost to Steven Ly, 6-3, 6-4 at number three singles for LBC which fell to 6-6 overall this season.

Rutgers-Camden 8, Lancaster Bible 1
The Chargers fell to the NEAC's best team in Camden, N.J., as Davis picked up the lone point for LBC. Davis won his match at number four singles over Terry Long, 6-3, 7-5. Despite the lopsided overall match score, many of the matches were well played, which should give LBC confidence for next week's NEAC Tournament.

Aaron Hartman defeated LBC's Alex Ko at number two singles, 6-4, 6-1, while Noel lost to Adil Ismaaeel, 6-4, 7-5 at number three singles.

The Chargers (6-7, 2-4 NEAC) conclude their regular season on Tuesday when they travel to Reading, Pa. to take on Albright at 3:30 p.m.
