The Lancaster Bible men's tennis team lost for the second straight time on Wednesday as they fell to Albright, 6-3 at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. All three of Lancaster Bible's losses this season have come by a 6-3 margin.
On Wednesday, Albright took a 2-1 lead after the doubles matches as the number two doubles team of
Dan Soden and
Tedd Holbrook earned the Chargers' point with an 8-4 victory. The number one doubles team of
Alex Ko and
Alex Derus suffered their first loss of the season as they fell, 8-4. Number three doubles team of
Justin Bendo and
Chandler Gillman lost, 8-5.
In singles action, Derus remained perfect this season as he moved to 4-0 with a 6-1, 7-5 victory at number two singles over Ken Richardson. Holbrook picked up the other Lancaster Bible victory as he won, 6-2, 4-6, 10-6 at number four singles. Gillman fell just short of earning another point for the Chargers as he lost, 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 to Albright's Tom Werner.
The Chargers (1-3) will look to snap their losing streak on Tuesday when they host Bryn Athyn at 4 p.m.
