The Lancaster Bible men's tennis team lost its final regular season match on Monday at Linden Hall School in Lititz, Pa. as Eastern took down the Chargers, 7-2. Lancaster Bible ends the season with a 3-8 overall record and will now await its seed in next week's North Eastern Athletic Conference playoffs. Depending on where each singles player and doubles team is ranked as well, will dictate where each will play in the individual portion of the playoffs.
On Monday, the Chargers number one doubles team of
Alex Derus and
Alex Ko improved its season record to 8-3 as they won, 9-7. Ko earned the other Lancaster Bible point as well as he won his number two singles match, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4. Earlier in the day, Ko was named Men's Tennis Student-Athlete of the Week for the NEAC and against Eastern, he improved his season singles record to 6-5.
Lancaster Bible sophomore
Tedd Holbrook lost a tough match at number four singles as he lost Landen Walter, 6-2, 4-6, 10-5.
Chandler Gillman also played well in his 6-4, 6-1 loss.
While the men's tennis regular season has concluded, the Lancaster Bible women's tennis team still has four matches remaining, including three home matches.
